Stressed?

Maggie McNulty, Staff Writer

Is school stressing you out? Of course it is! Follow these simple steps to help you calm down (especially before midterms).

1. Write down all of your problems

Sometimes it’s easier to approach a problem if you know exactly what you are facing. Make a checklist of what you need to accomplish/what would make you feel better and then do it.

2. Go for a run

Literally run away from your problems.

3. Stalk someone hugely successful on Instagram

Find someone you admire and look at their fabulous life through their perfectly-filtered snapshots. Do this while listening to “The Eye of the Tiger” and staring at yourself in the mirror. What you believe, you can achieve.

4. Take a power nap

Hide under the covers for no more than 30 minutes.

5. Eat something healthy

Eat one carrot and then congratulate yourself.

6. Improve your skin-care regimen

Nothing will make you feel better than smearing oatmeal all over your face! Giving yourself a mini facial is the perfect way to treat yourself after a tough day.

7. Start a fight club

Just kidding. Don’t do this.

8. Listen to melodramatic music

Stare out the window while listening to breakup songs from the mid-’90s. You may be stressed about homework, but at least your fiance didn’t leave you at the altar.

9. Google conspiracy theories

How can homework be real if our eyes are fake?

10. Just do it

After completing these tasks, two days have probably already passed. Just get what you need to do done so you can do what you want.
