Hi, my name is Christmaelle Vernet and I am so excited to be returning to staff as your news editor this year! I know this has been one extremely hectic year but I promise as your news editor to keep you updated. This is my senior year (aka my third year on staff) and I am very grateful for this experience and all the things I have learned over the years. The dream is to honestly be a screenwriter/producer for BET. Writing has always been one of my favorite ways to pass time, and I strongly encourage all passionate writers to join staff next year if it’s something you might be interested in! Some of my favorite things include music, movies and spending time with family and friends. I can’t wait for you all to see what’s in store for the paper this year!
