Annual Talent Show Continues With Success

This year’s second annual BHS talent show proved its success once again. The event, held to raise money for the yearbook, had a total of 20 student performers. Acts ranged from contortionists to spoken word poetry with many talents in between.

Freshman Ceili Magnus took home the win this year with an opera performance that blew away the judges. Senior Genny Cote, junior Jay McEachern, freshman Patrick Higgins and senior Cassie Castro won second place with their saxified Disney quartet medleys and senior Cam McDonald placed third singing “Girl With One Eye.”

The judges, math teacher Joe Nystrom, retired BHS administrative assistant Patricia Dutra, and English teachers Martha Swindler and Meghan Fligg all agreed that “it was a difficult show to judge” given all the spectacular talent.
